Bar Manager – Dock One Bar & Food

Lead the bar at one of Darwin’s most exciting waterfront venues.

Dock One Bar & Food is a vibrant waterfront bar at Stokes Hill Wharf in the Darwin Waterfront precinct, known for its relaxed coastal atmosphere, cocktails, great food, sunset sessions and spectacular harbour views.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to join the Dock One team and take ownership of our bar operations, people, beverage standards and continued growth.

Known for its relaxed coastal atmosphere, craft cocktails, great food and stunning harbour views, Dock One has quickly become a go-to destination for locals and visitors looking to enjoy great drinks, sunset sessions and memorable celebrations. As Bar Manager, you will take full ownership of the bar's daily operations, leading a agile team while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, managing staff, and ensuring the bar operates efficiently during both regular service and busy events.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the bar

- Lead, train and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional service

- Maintain high standards in cocktail preparation,



beverage quality and presentation

- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships

- Create efficient staff rosters and support team development

- Ensure compliance with RSA, licensing regulations and company policies

- Work closely with venue management to drive sales, promotions and events

- Maintain a positive, energetic atmosphere for both guests and staff

About you

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a bar management or supervisory role

- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer and beverage service

- Proven ability to lead and develop hospitality teams

- Excellent organisational and communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced bar environment

- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster including nights and weekends
