About the role

Designer Tanks is seeking a Factory Staff - Sheet Metal operator to join our manufacturing team on a full time basis at our facility in Smeaton Grange, NSW. This is a hands-on production role that is central to our manufacturing operations, where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sheet metal equipment to produce high-quality components. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and efficiency of our products, making this a key position within our assembly and process work operations.

What you'll be doing
Operating sheet metal machinery and equipment, including shears, brakes, rollers and presses
Preparing materials and setting up machinery according to specifications and work instructions




Measuring and cutting sheet metal to accurate dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment
Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Assembling and forming sheet metal components as required
Maintaining equipment in valuable working order and reporting any faults or issues promptly
Following all health and safety procedures and workplace protocols
Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
Working collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines
