An exciting prospect has become available for an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Perth's northern suburbs. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function across accounting, payroll, reconciliations, month-end activities and compliance.
Your new role
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Managing customer statements, collections and payment runs
Performing bank, credit card and foreign currency reconciliations
Supporting payroll processing, superannuation and payroll compliance
Assisting with month-end reporting including journals, accruals and reconciliations
Maintaining fixed asset registers and supporting inventory-related calculations
Assisting with BAS, GST, audit and other compliance requirements
Providing general finance administration and support across the business
What you'll need to succeed
Degree or Diploma in Accounting,
Finance or a related discipline
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
Payroll exposure and knowledge of Australian compliance requirements
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Experience working with ERP systems, ideally within a manufacturing, inventory or multi-currency environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
