The Prospect
As demand for reporting has grown across the organisation, the Finance team has created this current role to take ownership of business reporting and budgeting. You'll make sure managers and executives get accurate, timely information they can act on. The role runs to the end of December, with genuine potential to become permanent for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
You'll own the reporting cycle from data to insight, working closely with managers across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual financial and performance reporting
Owning the reporting system, including reporting models, monthly data updates and KPIs
Streamlining data gathering and validation to speed up monthly manager reporting
Leading the annual budget process, covering revenue, operating expenses, FTE and project costs
Analysing revenue across health service revenue streams
Delivering reporting packs, dashboards,
variance analysis and commentary for executive audiences
Partnering with managers to build financial understanding and budget accountability
Overseeing a Management Accountant and coordinating workloads to meet deadlines
Supporting business cases, costings and statutory reporting
About You
You're a systems-savvy accountant who enjoys making complex information straightforward. You'll bring:
A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA highly regarded
Strong experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Healthcare experience essential
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to pick up reporting systems quickly
The confidence to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
The ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines, including remotely
