Onslow Gardens is seeking reliable and experienced Kitchen Assistants to join our team. At Brightwater residential aged care, these roles are known as Hotel Services Multi-Skilled positions.

Located in the heart of Subiaco, Brightwater Onslow Gardens provides high-quality care for people with a diverse range of needs, including dementia-specific care.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have previous kitchenhand experience.

This is a part time position working Thursdays from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm in both Week 1 and Week 2 of the roster.

About the Role

This hands-on role supports the delivery of essential services across our facility, including kitchen, cleaning and laundry duties.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within aged care or a comparable setting
Experience performing duties in a commercial kitchen
Knowledge of cooking and food preparation, including secure food handling and presentation
Sound understanding of food safety practices , including temperature control and food danger zones
Familiarity with the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) framework and levels




Experience providing cleaning and/or laundry services
A caring and positive approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting older people
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to prioritise tasks, perform effectively under pressure and solve problems confidently

Mandatory Requirements
Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends, as required
A current National Police Clearance issued within the past 12 months
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
