About the role

Our iconic restaurant, The Vintage Secret Garden, is looking for an exceptional SousChef or CDP to join our talented team in Galston, NSW. This is a full time role with thesponsorship opportunity, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates. As Chef,you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery ofexceptional culinary experiences for our discerning guests.

What you'll be doing
Manage and oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, foodpreparation, and quality control
Collaborate with the management team and Head Chef to develop and executeinnovative seasonal menus that showcase the best of local, seasonal produce
Maintain strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Mentor and train the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive workenvironment
Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies to ensure productive operations
Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and aexceptional dining experience for our guests

What we're looking for




Significant experience as a Chef in a high-quality restaurant or similar hospitalityestablishment
Proven ability to lead and manage a kitchen team, with robust communication andpeople management skills
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations
Passion for creating innovative, seasonally-driven menus that showcase the best oflocal produce
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards offood safety and hygiene
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
