Concreter

At OXFORD LANDSCAPING COMPANY PTY LTD, we are looking for a skilled Concreter to work on a full time basis (at least 38 hours per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Preparing and setting out work areas for concrete construction, including checking measurements, levels and site conditions.

· Preparing concrete work areas by levelling, compacting and ensuring surfaces are suitable for concrete placement.

· Constructing concrete paths, driveways, slabs, footings, kerbs, steps and other concrete structures associated with landscaping projects.

· Installing and securing formwork, reinforcing mesh, steel and other supporting materials before concrete is poured.

· Mixing, placing and distributing concrete into prepared formwork and designated areas in accordance with project requirements.

· Screeding, levelling, compacting, floating and finishing concrete surfaces to achieve the required levels, falls and surface finish.

· Forming and finishing edges, joints, corners and other details, and carrying out curing and finishing work to achieve the required quality.

· Working safely with other landscaping and construction personnel, maintaining tools and equipment,



following site plans and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirement

· At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.

· Demonstrated ability to prepare and set out concrete work areas, including taking measurements, checking levels and preparing surfaces for concrete placement.

· Proven ability to install formwork and reinforcement, place and distribute concrete, and carry out screeding, levelling, compacting and finishing of concrete surfaces.

· Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, including protected handling of concrete and construction materials, use of personal protective equipment, hazard identification and maintaining a protected work area.

Position: Full Time
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
