Sushi Kitchen Assistant — Ina Sushiro

Ina Sushiro is looking for a reliable and hardworking Sushi Kitchen Assistant to join our restaurant team. This is a back-of-house role involving food preparation, assisting with sushi production and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.

Responsibilities

You will prepare ingredients, including washing and cutting vegetables and preparing fillings; assist with cooking sushi rice, rolling sushi and other food preparation tasks; and support the kitchen team during service. Your duties will also include washing dishes and utensils, cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas, unpacking deliveries and storing ingredients correctly. You will be expected to follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable and willing to learn. You should be able to follow instructions, work well in a team and maintain attention to detail in a busy kitchen. A willingness to assist with both food preparation and cleaning is essential. Previous experience in a sushi shop, restaurant or commercial kitchen is preferred.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
