Lawyer – Employment Law 2+ PAE

We are seeking a skilled lawyer with at least 2 years' post-admission experience to join our employment law team.

Our team advises employers, predominately in healthcare across Australia, together with hospitality and real estate, on employment law and industrial relations matters. Our clients range in size and diversity, from leading and publicly listed national healthcare providers to local bowls clubs.

You will work with an experienced and cooperative team on a broad range of employment and industrial relations matters. As you develop your expertise you will be afforded the prospect to take ownership of your matters with support from the senior legal team.

What you will be doing
Providing strategic technical and practical advice on workplace issues such as restructures, redundancy, dispute management, misconduct and termination;
Providing practical interpretive advice on legislative and industrial instruments and assisting clients with compliance and implementation;
Involvement in all aspects of enterprise bargaining including drafting and negotiation of enterprise agreements, approvals processes and providing advice on bargaining disputes;




Providing advice through our national employment law advisory service;
Assisting senior counsel with litigation including claims in the Fair Work Commission, VCAT (and comparative state/territory tribunals), Federal Circuit Court and Federal Magistrates Court proceedings.
Maintaining accurate and timely file management, time recording and billing practices in accordance with firm requirements.

Who we are looking for
Minimum of 2 years’ post admission experience in employment law
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work
