Situated above Umberto Espresso Bar is a gem of a summer rooftop bar with phenomenal views. We seek an inspired, passionate Bartender to assist in operating the rooftop with a creative focus on getting guests in and having them return with friendly service and high quality food and beverage.

Casual - 30 hours per week

Join a vibrant rooftop venue where creativity, outstanding drinks and great hospitality come together. Be a part of leading the Thornbury scene, helping shape the cocktail list, curate a summer music program and mentor a small but dedicated team.
Your responsibilities will include:

A professional, creative and passionate hospitality team
Supervising and supporting the team during service
Taking an active leadership role
Helping maintain high standards of service, presentation and hospitality
Leaders who genuinely care about their people and lead with positivity

We’re looking for someone who:

Strong cocktail and beverage knowledge
Can confidently supervise a team during busy, high-pressure services while being hands on
Is calm, organised and solutions-focused when things don’t go to plan
Can give explicit direction while maintaining a positive and supportive team environment
Has solid communication skills and leads by example
Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating a great guest experience
Has an interest in Italian food, wine and hospitality

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is mature, enjoys leading a team and wants to play an active part in making great services happen.
