About the role

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, compliance, and strategic direction of the business. This role ensures the company operates efficiently, safely, and in a structured manner through robust systems, clear communication, effective leadership, and disciplined execution.

We're looking for an accountable General Manager to join our company overseeing processes of turning business direction into action within an engineering-focused project delivery business, ensuring alignment between office-based project engineering and management functions and the delivery of work through factory and site teams.

Key responsibilities
Plan, organise and oversee day-to-day operations through team leaders
Develop and implement short, medium and long-term business plans
Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance and timeliness
Develop and maintain transparent systems, processes and procedures
Lead and develop staff across all levels




Maintain clear and consistent communication across teams
Ensure compliance with all awards, EBAs and workplace legislation
Manage company assets, tracking and transfers, including hired equipment
Drive continuous improvement across operations
Monitor factory and site workflow to ensure effective resource allocation
