Our client is a purpose driven not for profit organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a temporary assignment within its People & Culture team.

Responsibilities Include
Preparing and validating payroll data before submission to the external payroll provider
Reviewing payroll reports and checking payments, deductions and leave balances for accuracy
Investigating discrepancies and coordinating corrections and adjustments
Reviewing award classifications, pay rates, travel and overnight allowances, and enterprise agreement conditions




Responding to employee payroll queries and explaining outcomes clearly
Improving payroll controls and processes to reduce manual intervention
Skills & Experience
Strong end to end payroll experience, including award and enterprise agreement interpretation
Confidence investigating pay, leave and system discrepancies
Experience with complex classifications, allowances or mixed employment arrangements
A curious, proactive approach to problem solving
Explicit communication skills and an interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds
Employment Hero experience would be advantageous
