Aspire Homes Australia is currently recruiting for Therapeutic Youth Workers.
This is an exciting prospect to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity.
We aim to be the leading provider in the Illawarra district through our skilled and experienced staff, home-like environments and the development of a specific therapeutic framework.

Essential criteria:
Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
Current National Criminal History Check Certificate
First Aid Certificate, preferred but not essential
A valid driver's licence
Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle
A qualification in Social Work, Youth Work etc. or willing to obtain one, or considerable industry experience
You will:
Provide a safe and secure environment in which young people can thrive
Support young people as they transition into and out of our care




Support young people to achieve their living skills and Case Plan goals
Be an advocate for the young person
Have the necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and difficult situations according to the young person's behaviour management plan
Be available for shift work
Have strong written and oral communication skills
Be an effective team-player, with the ability to work autonomously
Undertake ongoing training as identified

Licence/Certification:
First Aid Certification (Preferred)
Working with Children Check (Required)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)
National Police Certificate (Required)
Driver Licence (Required)
