Casual Educator Opportunities (Outside School Hours Care)
Casual Educator / Responsible Person opportunity within the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service located in St Patrick's Primary School, Macksville.

As a casual role, hours will vary.
As a general guide, most casual staff work 9-15 hours/week during school term, and up to 38 hours during vacation care.
Duties
After school care and school holiday programs.
Organise and supervise children in various recreational and educational activities.
Take an active role in supporting positive behaviours and self-regulation.
Apply policies, procedures or similar related to childcare setting.
Build relationships with the children and families and positively represent the service at all times.
Responsible Person opportunities for experienced candidates
Selection Criteria
Relevant experience and/or qualifications.
Ability to apply and comply with child safeguarding principles and mandatory reporting obligations.
Professional presentation and excellent punctuality.
Ability to engage in a positive and friendly manner with children and families.
Available for a range of shifts over a Monday to Friday roster (no weekends).
Employees must have,



or be able to obtain prior to commencement, a valid NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
Responsible Person shifts also require: Current First Aid Qualification specific for early childhood settings (HLTAID012) and Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 or equivalent).
Pay rates
Pay rates are based on level of appointment, starting from Level 1.3 ($***** per hour).
As a guide, most educators are employed at:
Level 3: $***** per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (e.g. experience and/or Certificate III/IV in Early Childhood Education and Care)
Level 4: $***** per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Teaching qualification)
Level 5: $***** per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (when undertakingResponsible Personduties)
Important Information
Candidates must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
A current Australian Driver's License is essential.
