Mount Isa Hospital, part of the North West Hospital and Health Service in Queensland, is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join its Acute Care Adult Community Mental Health team.
This is a five-week contract position running from 26 October to 29 November ****, based in Mount Isa.
The role offers an opportunity to deliver mental health support in a regional setting, working alongside an established team committed to accessible, quality care for the local community.
Deliver acute and community mental health care to adults in a regional hospital setting

Work within Queensland Health and CIMHA frameworks in a supportive, cooperative environment
Preferred Requirements
Current experience working within Queensland Health mental health services
Demonstrated knowledge of CIMHA (Consumers,



Individuals, Mental Health Australia) principles and practice standards
Ability to work effectively across acute inpatient and community mental health settings
Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills in adult mental health
Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and consumers
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or allied mental health discipline
Current professional registration with the relevant regulatory body (AHPRA, AASW, or equivalent)
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in mental health practice
