I’m partnering with a globally recognised premium automotive brand to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of its Victorian market.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building genuine customer relationships and developing current business, rather than sitting behind a desk all week.
You’ll inherit an established customer portfolio across Victoria, with plenty of opportunity to strengthen existing accounts and continue growing the brand’s presence across the state.
The role:
Manage and grow an established portfolio of Victorian customers
Identify and develop new business prospects across the territory
Build solid, long-term relationships with customers and industry contacts
Conduct regular customer visits, account reviews and sales meetings
Develop territory plans and identify opportunities to increase revenue
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer developments
Work closely with internal Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics, Procurement and Product teams
Provide regular sales forecasts and market insights
Represent a highly regarded global brand in the Victorian market
What we’re looking for:
Proven B2B sales, Business Development, Account Management or Territory Management experience
Strong relationship-building and new-business development skills
Experience managing a geographical sales territoryni>Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Experience across automotive, tyres, aftermarket, wholesale or distribution would be highly regarded, but I’m also interested in speaking with solid BDMs from other relevant B2B industries.
Company vehicle provided
Regional Victorian travel approximately a couple of days per month
If you’re an experienced BDM looking to represent a major international brand with an established customer base and plenty of room to grow the territory, I’d be keen to have a confidential chat.
