Bright Star Foods is seeking a
Café Lunch Place Worker
to join our dynamic team in Toowoomba, QLD. This is a
part-time position
offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a vibrant retail and food service setting. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences whilst supporting the smooth operation of our café lunch services. This role is perfect for individuals seeking flexible, part-time work in the hospitality and retail sector.
What you'll be doing n
n
Preparing and serving food and beverages to customers in a prompt and professional manner
n
Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments using point-of-sale systems
n
Maintaining a clean and hygienic café workspace, including food preparation areas and customer seating
n
Restocking supplies and ensuring adequate inventory of food, beverages and consumables throughout service periods
n
Supporting colleagues during busy lunch service periods to ensure efficient operations
n
Following food safety and health and hygiene protocols at all times
n
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under the direction of senior kitchen staff
n
Engaging with customers in a friendly and courteous manner to enhance their dining experience
n
What we're looking for n

Previous experience in a café, restaurant or retail food service environment is desirable
n
Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for providing excellent service
n
Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced team environment during lunch rush periods
n




Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to scheduling
n
Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour
n
Basic food hygiene knowledge or willingness to complete food safety training
n
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle food preparation tasks
n
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
