Join our Bone Marrow Transplant team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 2) and provide expert clinical leadership and specialist nursing care to patients undergoing complex transplantation treatment.
Working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team, you will support high-quality, evidence-based care while contributing to education, service improvement and positive patient outcomes.
Provide expert clinical advice to, patients / clients, carers and other health care professionals on complex BMTA care needs across Liverpool Hospital.
To ensure all activities in relation to collection, preservation and administration of Haematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC) are performed in accordance with the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) and Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (BMTCT), Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) standards and National association of testing Authorities (NATA) standards.

Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching,
competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of specialty education programs
Demonstrated clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently
Selection Criteria

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
In addition, the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.

Describe your experience with consulting with other health professionals both internally to your hospital and with external agencies?
