Hours:
Casual, full-time hours, immediate start. Chance for full-time role.
Remuneration:
$35-$45hr depending on experience/skills + super

We're seeking a
Workshop Technician or Trainee
to join our Rutherford team. If you have a mechanical mindset, great attention to detail, and a passion for hands-on work, we want to hear from you. Whether you're starting your career or bringing prior workshop experience, full training and development opportunities are provided.

We are open to training someone with the right mechanical aptitude and relevant experience or considering a qualified and seasoned technician. Remuneration available will depend on your qualifications and experience.

This is a hands-on role involving the
assembly, calibration, servicing, and repair
of specialised torque tools and related equipment. You'll be part of a close-knit, supportive team where learning, accountability, and quality workmanship are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities n
Repair, service and calibrate torque tools and related equipment
n




Maintain equipment calibration registers and service records
n
Prepare job reports and assist with fault investigations
n
Efficiently and accurately record date in ERP system
n
Support warehousing and inventory tasks as needed
n
Operate and maintain workshop tools and testing equipment
n
Follow all safety policies and take ownership of work quality and outcomes
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
Qualifications and Skills n
Completion of Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
n
Strong technical aptitude and practical, hands-on ability
n
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office + other business systems)
n
Manual handling ability
n
Applicants must be Australian citizens only
n
Understanding of pneumatics, electrics & hydraulics
n
Experience in tool service, repair, or calibration
n
Background in a workshop, mechanical, or manufacturing environment
Personal Attributes n

n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
n
Demonstrated
accountability and ownership
in completing tasks accurately and on time
