This is an prospect to work closely with an ex-large national firm partner and experienced practitioners on a broad range of commercial disputes. You will have genuine exposure to all stages of the litigation process and the opportunity to develop your skills in a small, focused team environment.
The Role
While always provided with appropriate guidance and support, you will take responsibility for your own work while collaborating closely with senior lawyers on more complex matters. Your responsibilities include:
Drafting pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, submissions, and other legal documents
Conducting legal research and analysis
Assisting with court and tribunal matters, including preparation for hearings and mediations




Reviewing and analysing evidence and documents
Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and other parties
Assisting senior lawyers with case preparation and strategy
Attending client conferences, mediations and court hearings as required
Managing matter files and ensuring key dates and deadlines are met.
The Person
This position would be best suited to a lawyer with approximately 2-5 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation. Admission to practice in Australia, with no current supervision requirement, is essential. Importantly, we are looking for a lawyer with a can-do attitude and common sense, who is able to work autonomously but also enjoys collaboration.
