Senior Building Surveyor n
Broadmeadows Location | $54 per hour + Super | Contract until December ****

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a busy local government setting on a contract basis through to December ****. This role is ideal for a qualified and registered Building Surveyor who can confidently manage building control matters, conduct inspections, provide technical advice, and apply Victorian building legislation with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Conduct building inspections, investigations, assessments and compliance activities.
n
Provide expert advice on Victorian building legislation, regulations, codes and standards.
n
Assess permits, approvals, consents, reports and related building control applications.
n
Prepare professional correspondence, notices, reports and recommendations.
n
Liaise with stakeholders including contractors, building professionals, regulatory authorities and members of the public.
n
Support municipal building control functions and contribute to best-practice service delivery.
n
About You n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Registration as a Building Surveyor with the Victorian Building Authority.
n




Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
n
Demonstrated experience in building surveying, inspections and compliance investigations.
n
Extensive knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, National Construction Code and relevant Victorian legislation.
n
Strong report writing and written communication skills.
n
The ability to interpret legislation and provide technical advice confidently and independently.
n
Experience using Microsoft Office and relevant record management systems.
n
Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
n
