Randstad is currently seeking multiple
Safety Officers
for a 2-week shutdown project based in
Tumut, NSW
, starting this
October
.
n
As the right hand to our Site Managers, you will play a critical role in identifying hazards, assessing risks, implementing controls, and advising on accident prevention and occupational health across day shift operations.

2-week shutdown (October start)

Roster:
Day shift only (12-hour shifts)
n
Pay Rate:
$60/hr flat rate
n

Key Responsibilities
n
Prepare and implement site-specific Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) plans aligned with client requirements.
n
Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety audits, task observations,



and site inspections.
n
Lead incident investigations and complete accurate project documentation.
n
Provide active safety support and guidance to site contractors.
n
Build and manage solid relationships with on-site contractors and key stakeholders.
n
Requirements & Qualifications
n
Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS)
is mandatory.
n
Previous shutdown experience
in mining, civil construction, or blue-collar/trade environments.
n
Proven ability to manage safety documentation, audits, and risk management processes.
n
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to site safety.
