The Senior National Account Manager at SPC is a key leadership role within the SPC sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of strategic accounts, with a primary focus on Woolworths.
n
This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional capable of leading major accounts, developing robust sales strategies, consistent delivery of results and ensuring the successful execution of joint category plans.
n
We are also looking for someone that can help contribute to the team culture and build collaborative customer and internal relationships. The role oversees the day-to-day activities of a National Account Executive.

Key Responsibilities: n
Take full accountability for the accounts.
n
Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within Woolworths, Aldi, and internally.
n
Own the sales delivery versus budget, implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
n
Contribute to the team culture and help assist in the development of team members
n
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
n
Drive the development and execution of joint category plans in collaboration with key accounts.
n
Ensure alignment with company objectives, market trends, and customer expectations.
n
Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring category plans to fruition.
n
Oversee the implementation of planned activation strategies for promotions and marketing initiatives.
n
Manage product ranging to maximize visibility and availability within designated accounts.
n
Effectively manage account and stay within budget constraints.
n
Monitor and analyse spend management, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
n
Conduct regular performance reviews and analyses to identify areas for improvement and growth.
n
Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Contribute to the overall delivery of the retail sales.
n
Operate with a safety-first mindset and ensure all the required safety precautions are taken prior to entering an activity.
The successful candidate will have: n
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferre
n
Proven experience in account management role within the FMCG industry,
particularly with major retailers like COLES & WOOLWORTHS.
n
Solid leadership and team management skills.
n
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
n
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
n
Understanding of category management and promotional strategies.
n
Growth mindset and strong self-awareness
n
Ownership of sales targets and problem solving to deliver.
n
Outstanding relationship building skills. Able to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of key contacts across multiple levels of the industry.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Proven Line Management skills with passion for development and empowerment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

Proficiency in using Excel and ability to learn new systems
