We're after a hands-on Heavy Plant Mechanic & Yard Coordinator to join our maintenance team at our Helensvale yard. This is a dual role — split between diagnosing and repairing our fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment and trucks, and keeping the yard organised, secure, and running smoothly day to day.
Key responsibilities
Servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy plant, trucks and earthmoving equipment (excavators, dozers, tippers, and truck and dogs)
Carrying out scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs and pre-start defect rectification
Working safely and to BJT Equip's ISO-accredited quality, environmental and safety systems
Assisting operators and drivers with in office equipment issues as needed
About you
Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel/Plant Mechanic (or equivalent experience) WITH A HC/MC LICENCE
Experience servicing and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment and/or heavy vehicles
A current driver's licence (HR/HC highly regarded but not essential)
A safety-first mindset and reliable, physically fit and ready for hands-on yard work
Good communication and a genuine team player attitude
Own hand tools (yard tools and diagnostic equipment supplied)
