Overview n
An opportunity for a Network Engineer to support the delivery and ongoing operation of enterprise network and security environments across data centre and cloud platforms. This role is hands-on, focused on project implementation, operational support, and continuous improvement of network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Support delivery of network and security solutions across core, edge, and perimeter environments
n
Assist with data centre migrations, network upgrades, and cloud integration projects
n
Configure and maintain routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN)
n
Deploy and support firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper)
n
Implement and maintain secure connectivity (IPSec VPN, SD-WAN, cloud interconnects)
n
Monitor and support security controls, including IPS, SIEM, and threat detection tools
n
Support load balancing and application delivery platforms (F5, Netscaler)
n
Assist with infrastructure automation and configuration management
n




Provide BAU support, incident resolution, and participate in change management processes
n
Work with internal teams and stakeholders to support project delivery and operations
n
Maintain compliance with security and governance frameworks (ISO *****, NIST, Essential 8)
n
Skills & Experience n
n
5-8 years' experience in network engineering and/or security
n
Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and network operations
n
Experience supporting firewall and security platforms
n
Exposure to cloud networking (AWS and/or Azure)
n
Familiarity with monitoring and security tools (e.g. Splunk, Tufin)
n
Basic experience or exposure to automation tools (e.g. Terraform)
n
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
Good communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
n
Qualifications n
n
Degree in IT or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
n
Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, Security+ or equivalent)
n
Experience in enterprise, financial services, or telco environments
n
Exposure to ITIL processes and security frameworks
n
