About the Role n
This is a
casual / Part-time position with the chance to transition to a permanent role
for the right candidate. The position offers flexibility while providing essential nursing support within our established and growing general practice.

Key Responsibilities n
As a Practice Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting our doctors and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Conduct and assist with
Chronic Disease Management and Care Planning
, including patient follow-up and ongoing care coordination.
n
Conduct comprehensive
Patient Health Assessments
and support preventive healthcare initiatives.
n
Assist GPs with
iron infusions
, including patient preparation, monitoring and post-procedure care.
n
Administer
adult and paediatric immunisations and vaccinations
in accordance with clinical guidelines and practice protocols.
n
Administer
travel vaccinations
and provide appropriate patient education.
n
Provide
wound assessment, management and dressing changes
, including ongoing care and follow-up.
n
Conduct and assist with
ear irrigation and other treatment room procedures
as required.
n
Assist GPs with
minor surgical procedures
, including preparation, patient support and post-procedure care.
n
Maintain high standards of
infection prevention and control
, including treatment-room preparation and clinical hygiene.
n
Undertake
patient triage
, recalls and reminder management to support timely and appropriate patient care.
n
Manage
clinical stock ordering and inventory control




, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained efficiently.
n
Participate in
Quality Improvement activities
and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services and patient care.
n
Provide
general clinical and nursing support
to GPs and the broader medical and administrative team as required.
n
What We're Looking For n
We are seeking a
dedicated, reliable and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN)
who meets the following requirements:
n
n
Current unrestricted
AHPRA registration
as a Registered Nurse (RN).
n
Valid
Australian citizenship, permanent residency or appropriate working rights/visa
.
n
Current
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification.
n
Evidence of appropriate
immunisation
including COVID-19,
n
Minimum 1 year of experience in general practice or a similar healthcare setting
n
Strong
clinical knowledge and nursing skills
, with demonstrated competency in patient assessment and clinical interventions.
n
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
n
Strong
organisational and time-management skills
, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy GP environment.
n
Flexibility and willingness to work
casual / parttime rostered shifts
, with the potential to transition to a
permanent position
for the right candidate.
