Drill Technician

Location:
FIFO from Perth
n
Roster:
Flexible shutdown and breakdown rosters, typically 8-10 day swings
n
Join a New Specialist Drill Team at WesTrac
n
WesTrac is building a current
Drill Shutdown & Breakdown Team
and we're looking for experienced Drill Technicians to join us.
n
As a founding team member, you'll work on Caterpillar Drill Rigs across WA mine sites, supporting shutdowns, breakdowns and technical troubleshooting. You'll join a close-knit team of experienced technicians who work well together, support each other and are committed to delivering great outcomes for our customers.
n

What You'll Do n
n
Fault finding, diagnostics and maintenance on Caterpillar MD**** through to MD**** Drill Rigs
n
Work closely with customers, WesTrac and Caterpillar to deliver technical support and practical solutions
n
Assist with preventative maintenance planning, shutdown scopes and troubleshooting activities
n
Complete technical reporting and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
n
Perform breakdown repairs, commissioning support and equipment optimisation activities to improve machine performance and reliability
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment availability and customer outcomes
n
Skills & Experience Essential n
n
Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
n
Post-trade experience working on mining equipment
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
Highly Regarded n
n
Experience working on surface mining Drill Rigs
n
Experience on Caterpillar MD**** to MD**** Drill Rigs
n
Field Service experience within the mining industry
n
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
n
Previous shutdown, breakdown or maintenance experience
n
Exposure to low-voltage electrical systems
n
Mentoring,
training or technical leadership experience
n
