About the role of General Manager - Investigations & Intelligence
Racing Victoria's purpose is to lead and champion great horse racing in Victoria. The General Manager Investigations and Intelligence contributes to this by developing and executing Racing Victoria's investigations which can be complex and challenging, and intelligence strategy, leading a team that supports the integrity of thoroughbred racing through independent,



professional and procedurally fair practices.
As a senior leader, the General Manager - Investigations and Intelligence contributes to the Racing Victoria Integrity Strategic Plan and wider RVG objectives. The role prepares high-quality Board and Sub-Committee papers and reports that provide clear, evidence-based insights, recommendations and updates to support informed decision-making.
As a subject matter expert, the General Manager - Investigations and Intelligence confidently contributes to committees and working groups, conducts and advocates cases on behalf of Integrity Services as required, and effectively manages engagements with law enforcement agencies and sporting regulators. They respond with agility to shifting priorities, competing demands, obstacles and emerging challenges.
The General Manager - Investigations and Intelligence provides empowering leadership to their team, to drive collaboration, a positive culture and to maximise effectiveness and quality output that reflects the highest standards of independence, professionalism and procedural fairness.
About You
This is a significant leadership role for Racing Victoria. Candidates will bring tertiary qualifications in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Law or a related field,



or equivalent relevant experience. An understanding of, or interest in, thoroughbred racing and the operations of the racing industry is also desirable.
You will bring exceptional communication skills to represent Racing Victoria professionally, build productive relationships with key stakeholders, and navigate disputes and mediations constructively.
Solid written capabilities and experience will be required for preparing complex briefs and reports for, Inquiries as well as for developing standards, processes and procedures, Board and Sub-Committee reports and other internal and external reports.
Experience in intelligence and/or criminal investigation roles is expected, together with knowledge of the Rules of Racing and betting and wagering. Candidates with relevant transferable experience and the capacity to quickly develop racing-specific knowledge will also be considered.
You bring empowering team leadership and the ability to work under tight time constraints, often with changing priorities and situations.

This is a full-time position, with working hours and attendance requirements aligned to the operational needs of the role.
