Key Responsibilities: Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications: n
Fabricators must understand technical drawings to accurately prepare and assemble metal parts.
Cutting, shaping, and bending metal: n
Using hand and machine tools, they prepare metal stock according to required dimensions and shapes.
Welding: n
They use various welding techniques (e.g., stick welding, MIG welding, TIG welding) to join metal pieces, ensuring strong and durable seams.
Joining metal parts: n
Fabricators may also use bolting, riveting, or other methods to assemble metal structures.
Quality control: n
They inspect welds and finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
Using hand and power tools: n
Fabricators are proficient in using various tools, including blowtorches, shears, gauges, nail sets, power saws, and workshop presses.
Safety: n
They follow safety procedures,



wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills and Abilities: Welding skills: n
Expertise in various welding techniques is crucial.
Metal fabrication knowledge: n

Blueprint reading and interpretation: n
Accurately understanding technical drawings is necessary.

To qualify this position, you will have n

AQF Certificate III for or equivalent or relevant experience
n
Minimum 5 years' experience
n
$76,****** to $83,000 per annum – example
n
