About the Role n
Cinnamon Grove Cafe and Catering is seeking an experienced and qualified
Chef
to join our team in Greensborough.
n
This is a hands-on Chef position working across our
restaurant and café operations, as well as our catering and functions business
. The role involves the preparation and service of meals for restaurant and café customers, together with the planning, preparation and coordination of food for catering orders, functions and events.
n
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality food across
restaurant service, café service and commercial catering production
, while maintaining consistent standards of taste, presentation, food safety and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities n
Plan, prepare and cook food for
restaurant and café service, catering orders, functions and events
.
n
Coordinate commercial food production for catering and functions, ensuring preparation and service deadlines are met.
n
Prepare and present menu items consistently in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
n
Assist with
restaurant, café and catering menu planning and development
.
n
Coordinate the preparation, timing,



packing and presentation of catering orders.
n
Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards across dine-in and catering operations.
n
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and minimize food wastage.
n
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
n
Maintain a clean, organized and effective commercial kitchen.
n
Assist with supervising and coordinating kitchen staff as required.
Skills & Experience n
Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
n
Proven experience as a Chef in a
restaurant, café, catering or similar commercial kitchen environment
.
n
Experience in
restaurant service, large-scale food production, functions and catering
is highly desirable.
n
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety requirements.
n
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during restaurant service and meet catering and function deadlines.
n
Good communication, organization and teamwork skills.
n
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for food production and service.
n
Availability to work a full time roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
