An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated
Store Manager
to join the leadership team of a
brand-new IGA Local Grocer opening in Aratula,
n
This is a rare opportunity to take the lead in a new supermarket from day one. You will have the opportunity to help build the team, establish the store culture and standards, oversee the store fit-out and setup, and ultimately lead the successful day-to-day operation of the supermarket.

About the Opportunity n
As Store Manager, you will play a key role in bringing this new store to life.
n
Working closely with the owners and management team, you will help establish the systems, standards and culture that will underpin the store's success.
Your responsibilities will include: n
n
Leading and developing the store team
n
Delivering outstanding customer service and a great shopping experience
n
Managing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket
n
Maintaining high standards of presentation, merchandising and cleanliness
n
Managing stock, inventory, ordering and waste
n
Monitoring sales, margins, labour and other key performance indicators
n
Ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures
n
Recruiting, training, coaching and developing team members
n
Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and the local community
n
Supporting the successful opening and establishment of the new store
n
Leading by example and creating a positive, productive workplace culture
n

The successful applicant will commence
prior to opening
and will be actively involved in the exciting pre‐opening phase, including:
n

Store fit‐out and preparation
n
Recruitment and team development
n
Merchandising and stock setup
n
Systems implementation and testing
n
Store procedures and operational planning
n
Final preparation for opening day
n
n
You won't simply be taking over an established store —
you'll help build it.
n
You'll have the opportunity to put your own leadership style, ideas and experience into practice and help establish a store that becomes an important part of the Aratula and surrounding community.
About You n
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable leader who takes pride in running a great store and developing a excellent team.
Ideally, you will have: n
n
Previous experience managing a supermarket, grocery store or retail business
n
Strong leadership and people-management skills
n
A hands‐on approach and willingness to work alongside your team
n
Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs
n
Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
A strong focus on customer service
n
The ability to recruit, train, motivate and develop a team
n
High standards of presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail
n
A positive, proactive and solutions-focused attitude
n
The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
n
