About the Role n
This is a hands-on outdoor position involving a variety of landscaping and horticultural work.
Summer duties include: n

Mowing and edging lawns
n
n
Hedging, weeding, lopping and pruning
n
n
Irrigation maintenance
n
n
General landscape maintenance
n
n
Occasional turf laying
n
n
Other general gardening and landscaping tasks
n
Winter duties include: n
n
n
Landscape construction and project work
n
n
Irrigation installation and maintenance
n
n
Softscape work
n
n
General landscape maintenance
n
n
Other varied landscaping tasks
n
n
The work can be physically demanding at times, including heavy manual work.
Physical capability and a willingness to work hard are essential.
About You n
We're looking for someone who is:

Physically capable of performing demanding manual work

Hardworking with a solid work ethic

Well presented with a good eye for detail
n

Genuinely interested in horticulture and landscaping
n
n
Able to work independently and as part of a team

A good communicator

n
Willing to learn and develop new skills
n
n
Located in
Scone or the surrounding Upper Hunter region
n
n
Holds a current driver's licence
n
n
Able to pass a criminal history check, as we work with some home care providers
n
Experience & Qualifications n
Previous landscaping or horticulture experience is
preferred but not essential
. Training will be provided for the right person.
n
A
Cert II or above in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Parks & Gardens
, or a similar qualification would be highly regarded.
n
For the right candidate, there are opportunities to undertake additional industry training and qualifications, including:

Chainsaw certification
n

Irrigation
n

Other relevant industry training
n
