We're looking for an experienced accountant to join the APAC finance team of an established professional services business on a short-term basis. With a permanent recruitment process underway, the CFO needs someone who can step in quickly, take ownership of key month-end activities and help keep reporting on schedule.
n
You'll work closely with the CFO, finance team and senior stakeholders across the business. The role offers a mix of hands-on financial accounting and analysis, with an immediate focus on delivering a reliable month-end close.
Your responsibilities will include: n

Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.
n
Completing balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
n




Supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
n
Analysing results, explaining variances and providing clear commentary to stakeholders.
n
Assisting with Group reporting and maintaining accurate supporting schedules and audit trails.
n
Working with the wider finance team to meet reporting deadlines and address issues as they arise.
n

You'll have strong month-end and financial reporting experience, a sound understanding of general ledger accounting and the confidence to work independently after a short handover. Robust Excel skills and the ability to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders are important. Experience with NetSuite or within a professional services business would be advantageous.
