Our client, operating in a prestigious industry, is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to join its Asia Pacific team. This standalone, part-time ****************) role is based at the company's Sydney headquarters and supports a diverse, geographically dispersed workforce.
n
This is a critical operational role responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle while providing strategic HR input to the leadership team. The role requires someone with exceptional interpersonal skills who thrives in a multicultural environment and is passionate about creating positive workplace experiences.
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide both day-to-day HR support and strategic guidance to employees and managers across the Asia Pacific region.
n
Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
n
Partner closely with a payroll officer to verify payroll accuracy (no processing responsibility)
n
Oversee internal training programs and inductions; opportunity to contribute to executive coaching and leadership development if experienced.
n
n
Maintain and optimise the HRIS (BambooHR) and ensure accurate and compliant HR data and records.
n
n
Prepare employment contracts and manage all relevant documentation and HR compliance.
n
n
Implement employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives that reflect the company's values and support a high-performance culture.
n
n
Serve as the primary HR contact for regional staff across Australia,
New Zealand, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong.
n
n
Liaise with external HR advisors and regulatory bodies when necessary.
n
n
Work collaboratively with the leadership team to contribute to workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management efforts.
n
Candidate Profile
Must have: n
n
n
Proven HR experience in a senior or standalone role, ideally within a rapid-paced and service-oriented environment.
n
n
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
n
n
Skilled in balancing strategic priorities with hands-on operational responsibilities.
n
n
Demonstrated experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance reviews, and compliance processes.
n
n
Proficient in using HRIS platforms (ideally BambooHR) and producing accurate HR reports.
n
n
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic and solution-focused mindset.
n
n
A proactive approach with an ability to manage HR Projects
n
Nice to have: n
n
n
Exposure to or experience in a regulated industries.
n
n
Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams across the Asia-Pacific region.
n
n
Background in leadership development or executive coaching.
n
n
Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organisational Development, or a related field.
n
n
Familiarity with Australian workers compensation legislation.
