Waratah, a John Deere company, is looking for a Customer Support Specialist - Forestry to join our team and support customers, dealers and service partners across the Asia Pacific region.
n
This is more than a technical support role. You'll be a trusted advisor, trainer, coach and problem-solver, helping customers get the best performance from their equipment while contributing to the future of forestry technology.
n

What will you be doing? n
In this role, you will:
n
n
Provide technical and product support to customers, dealers, service agents and field teams.
n
Commission forestry machinery and support new product introductions.
n
Deliver operator and technical training through practical demonstrations, workshops and one-on-one coaching.
n
Travel to customer and dealer locations to investigate and resolve mechanical, electrical and performance issues.
n
Help customers and dealers optimise machine performance and improve their overall product experience.
n
Support technical cases and develop transparent, timely solutions.
n
Identify emerging product issues using field reports, warranty information, customer feedback and machine data.
n
Contribute to product improvement activities and provide practical feedback to engineering, manufacturing and product teams.
n
Participate in customer clinics, industry workshops, trade shows and equipment demonstrations.
n
Build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, forest owners and other industry stakeholders.
n
About You n
You are a practical and customer-focused technical professional who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems and helping others succeed.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
Experience in forestry, product support, field service, heavy equipment or a related technical environment.
n
Practical knowledge of forestry machinery or forestry operations.
n
Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
n
Experience operating, commissioning, maintaining or supporting machinery.
n
The ability to investigate technical issues and follow them through to resolution.
n
Experience delivering technical training, operator coaching or practical demonstrations.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
n
A proactive, service-oriented approach with strong ownership and accountability.
n
The ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams.
n
Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
n
n
Forestry, mechanical or related technical qualifications would be highly regarded.
Experience with connected machinery, digital support systems, telematics, adult training or project work would also be beneficial.
n
You do not need to know every Waratah or John Deere system from day one. What matters most is your practical experience, problem-solving ability, customer focus and genuine desire to help others.
