Job Description
Technology Delivery Manager
n
Retail Technology Laverton North Hybrid Permanent
n
Project Manager. Business Analyst. Applications Manager.
n
n
If you've done a bit of all three - and you're still someone who likes actually doing the work - this could be right up your street.
n
We're partnering with one of Australia and New Zealand's largest privately owned agricultural retail businesses as they continue a significant investment across technology, digital and data.
n
n
With around 50 stores, multiple retail brands and an integrated logistics operation, there's a genuinely interesting technology landscape underneath the business.
n
n
ERP. POS. WMS. Integrations. APIs. Data. Digital products. Infrastructure.
n
n
And plenty happening.
n
n
The Role
n
n
We're looking for a
Technology Delivery Manager
to sit within a lean seven-person technology team and help drive a portfolio of business-critical projects.
n
n
This isn't a role where you'll spend your week herding stakeholders, updating a RAID log and waiting for someone else to do the work.
n
You'll get your hands dirty.
n
n
One day you could be running a discovery workshop with Supply Chain. The next you're working through requirements for an ERP change, challenging a vendor on an integration, coordinating UAT or preparing a decision for SteerCo.
n
n
You'll operate somewhere between
Project Management, Business Analysis and Applications Management
, owning delivery from initial discovery through to go-live.
n
n
What You'll Be Doing:
n
n
You'll:
n
n
Deliver multiple concurrent technology and business transformation projects.
n
Run discovery workshops and requirements sessions across Retail, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Logistics and Marketing.
n
Translate business problems into practical technology solutions.
n
Work across ERP, POS, WMS, APIs, middleware, SaaS platforms, data and digital products.
n
Produce requirements, process maps, user stories and UAT scenarios when required.
n
Coordinate testing, UAT, releases and business readiness.
n
Manage software vendors, MSPs, contractors and implementation partners.
n
Own project timelines, risks, dependencies and budgets.
n
Challenge scope, vendors and stakeholders when something doesn't stack up.
n
Identify opportunities for better processes and systems without waiting to be asked.
n
Use modern AI tools to work faster across documentation, analysis, communications and delivery.
n
n
n
There's governance involved, of course.
n
n
But
this is not a governance role
.
n
n
You're ultimately here to make things happen.
n
n
Who We're Looking For
n
n
Retail experience is essential.
n
n
You'll ideally have around
5-10 years of Project Management experience
, but your background doesn't need to be purely PM.
n
In fact, we'd love to speak with people who've moved between:
n
n
Project Management Business Analysis Applications ERP / Systems Technology Delivery
n
You'll have delivered projects involving some combination of ERP, POS, WMS, integrations, APIs, infrastructure, digital products or data.
n
You don't need to be a developer, but the more technically curious you are, the better.
n
n
Most importantly, you're still
on the tools
.
n
n
You're happy running the workshop, writing the requirement, talking to the vendor, investigating the problem and driving the thing through to completion.
n
We're not looking for someone who has spent the last decade managing increasingly large programs from further and further away from the actual delivery.
n
n
We're looking for a
retail technology doer
.
n
n
Why Join?
n
n
You'll get:
n
n
A broad technology landscape with genuine commercial impact.
n
Direct access to senior leadership and decision makers.
n
A lean team where good ideas can actually get implemented.
n
Hybrid working based around trust and outcomes.
n
Free onsite parking in Laverton North.
n
Funded learning, certifications and professional development.
n
The chance to influence how technology delivery operates as the business continues to grow.
n
n
n
If you like structure but hate bureaucracy, understand retail and still enjoy rolling your sleeves up and solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
