Job Description
Key responsibilities
Processing weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments
Calculating wages, salaries, allowances, deductions, leave entitlements and superannuation contributions
Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee files in compliance with legislative requirements
Preparing and lodging payroll tax returns, superannuation and other statutory obligations
Managing employee leave records, including annual leave, sick leave and long service leave
Reconciling payroll accounts and identifying and resolving discrepancies
Processing employee terminations, final pay and related documentation
Liaising with external payroll service providers, accountants and tax authorities as required
Providing payroll reports to management and finance teams
Ensuring compliance with Fair Work Act requirements and award conditions
Responding to employee payroll enquiries in a professional and timely manner
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a payroll function, ideally within an accounting or finance department
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax compliance and superannuation requirements
Proficiency with payroll software systems and general accounting packages
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills,



particularly for data analysis and reconciliation
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
Understanding of the Fair Work Act and up-to-date award conditions
Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality
Relevant accounting qualifications such as CPA, CA or Diploma in Payroll Management are advantageous
Ability to work independently whilst being part of a collaborative finance team
Commitment to maintaining accuracy and meeting tight payroll deadlines
