With a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence, we are seeking an experienced
Accounts Payable Team Leader
to join our Shared Services team in Parramatta.
n
nThe Role n
Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, you will lead a team responsible for delivering accurate and efficient accounts payable services across Heidelberg Materials Australia. This role combines people leadership with hands-on operational oversight, ensuring supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations are processed efficiently while maintaining strong internal controls and exceptional stakeholder service.

nKey Responsibilities n
n
Lead, mentor and develop a team of Accounts Payable professionals.
n
Manage the accounts payable function across multiple business units.
n
Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
n
Monitor team performance and workflow to achieve service level expectations.
n
Investigate and resolve escalated supplier and stakeholder queries.
n
Oversee supplier account reconciliations and month-end activities.
n
Ensure compliance with company policies,
financial controls and audit requirements.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
n
Support ERP system enhancements, automation projects and process optimisation activities.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
n

nAbout You n
You are a confident and collaborative leader with a strong background in accounts payable operations and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
n
nExperience n
n
Previous experience leading an Accounts Payable team within a medium to large organisation.
n
Demonstrated experience managing high-volume invoice processing environments.
n
Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements and AP best practices.
n
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise platforms.
n
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
n
n
nQualifications n
n
Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
n
Additional leadership or management training will be highly regarded.
n
n
