Joint Vision Orthopaedic Group is seeking an experienced, high-performing Medical Administrator to join our team.
n
Based in the heart of Wollongong, Joint Vision is a contemporary, multidisciplinary centre integrating orthopaedic surgery, rheumatology, pain medicine, allied health, imaging (X-ray and ultrasound), and rehabilitation - all under one roof.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, allied health clinicians, and a high-performing patient services team in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

This role is being advertised as a full‐time position; however, we are open to part‐time or flexible working arrangements for the right candidate, particularly those with strong experience.

About You n
You are an experienced medical administrator who thrives in a high-performance workplace and takes pride in delivering a consistently high standard of patient care.
n
You bring:
n
n
n
3+ years experience in specialist practice or private hospital settings
n
n
Confidence managing a high patient load with accuracy and efficiency
n
n
Strong initiative with the ability to identify problems and improve workflows
n
n
Excellent communication skills across patients, specialists, GPs, and hospitals
n
n
Solid experience across Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and private health billing
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
n
Experience supporting clinical tasks (e.g.
suture removal, clinical assisting)
n
n
Certificate III in Allied Health, AIN, or similar training
n
The Role n
This is a hands‐on, varied role where you will play a key part in the coordination of patient care and the overall efficiency of the practice.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
n
Managing patient journeys from referral through to post‐operative care
n
n
Coordinating appointments, surgical bookings, and theatre lists
n
n
Preparing accurate fee estimates and supporting financial discussions with patients
n
n
Processing and reconciling accounts across Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and health funds
n
n
Managing clinical correspondence and GP communication
n
n
Supporting basic clinical tasks where required (training provided)
n
n
Contributing to continuous improvement across systems and workflows
n
n
Providing high‐level administrative and operational support to the team
n
Skills & Experience n
n
n
Minimum 3 years experience in medical administration
n
n
Strong attention to detail and high-level computer literacy
n
n
Experience with Gentu, Genie, or similar practice management systems
n
n
Excellent organisational and time‐management skills
n
n
Sound understanding of medical terminology
n
n
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
n
