Role Overview

The Team Leader is responsible for delivering a high standard of customer service, supporting the business owner with day-to-day operations, and motivating team members to meet performance targets (speed, quality, cleanliness, and service) and ultimately improve profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Quality
Ensure customers receive friendly, rapid, and accurate service.
Maintain food quality standards (portioning, presentation, temperature, and labeling).
Address customer complaints professionally and escalate where necessary.

Operations & Compliance
Support opening/closing procedures (cash handling support where required).
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, front-of-house, and dining areas.
Follow company procedures (health & safety, allergens, cleaning schedules, stock handling).

Team Leadership & Training
Lead and coach team members during shifts.
Support onboarding and training of new starters.
Allocate tasks to ensure the team is working efficiently.
Motivate the team and reinforce expected behaviours and standards.

Performance & Targets
Help meet key targets such as:
Speed of service




Order accuracy
Waste reduction
Staff attendance and readiness
Monitor basic operational metrics and report issues to management.

Stock & Supplies
Assist with supplier relations, ordering and inventory checks.
Notify management of low stock, expired items, or supply issues.

Required Skills & Experience
Prior experience in a fast food or retail workplace (preferred).
Experience working in a team-focused, high-paced environment.
Strong communication and ability to lead by example.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work adaptable shifts.
Basic numeracy skills for routine checks and order accuracy.

Working Hours & Schedule
Full-time or part-time (specify as needed).
Must be able to work versatile shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Personal Attributes

Strong attention to detail (quality and cleanliness).
Ability to support and manage multiple tasks at once.
