El Attar Middle Eastern Grill located in Toowoomba is currently seeking a motivated, experienced chef to join our kitchen team, in a rapid-paced and energetic setting. Our restaurant offers lunch and dinner service 7 days a week. As our venue is rapidly growing, we are currently looking for a Qualified and experienced chef to join our team who can cater for our cuisines.
Key responsibilities /n
/n
Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
/n
Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
/n
Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
/n
Demonstrate ability to organise a kitchen team within a busy environment
/n
Plan and design menus
/n
Operate within the guidelines set by the state for food handling
/n
Discuss food preparation issues with the team
/n
Ensure consistency and highest quality in the taste, presentation and appropriate food temperature for food served in all kitchens
/n
Ensure the quality and cleanliness of all food displays
/n
Check stores and refrigerators and be responsible for the proper storing and recycling of leftovers
/n
About you /n
/n
Australian equivalent qualification in commercial cookery and management/business management
/n
Be proactive and responsible
/n
Be capable of organising and managing a kitchen
/n
Be able to work nights and weekends
/n
Ensure a high standard in the areas of health and safety, meal delivery and presentation
/n
Work well under pressure
/n
Possess a strong work ethic
/n
2 years or more experience
/n
Experience with cooking middle eastern cuisines preferred
/n
Above award salary including 12% superannuation
/n
Ongoing training and development with the chance to rise within the operation and the business
