Job Description

EMH Industries is seeking an experienced and reliable Welder (First Class) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will undertake a range of welding and metal fabrication work and will be required to work accurately from drawings and specifications while maintaining high standards of workmanship and workplace safety.
Key responsibilities n
n
Perform MIG, TIG and other welding processes on various metal components and structures
n
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications
n
Prepare, cut, shape and position metal components for welding and fabrication
n
Set up and operate welding equipment and associated tools
n
Weld, join and repair metal components using appropriate welding techniques
n
Inspect completed welds to ensure required quality and specifications are met
n
Carry out grinding, finishing and general fabrication work as required
n
Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition
n




Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
n
Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently
n
About you n
n
Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, or equivalent; or relevant industry experience demonstrating an equivalent level of skills
n
Demonstrated practical experience in welding and metal fabrication
n
Competency in MIG and TIG welding techniques
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
Positive knowledge of welding procedures, materials and fabrication methods
n
Ability to work accurately with attention to quality and detail
n
Strong workplace safety awareness
n
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
n
Good communication and time management skills
n
