Location: Melbourne The role: n
As part of the Network Team, you will help build and scale our network infrastructure from core design to hands-on implementation to support ResetData's high performance GPU and AI data centre workloads. You'll play a cross-functional role in AIF1, our flagship site in Docklands. You'll implement secure, reliable, and scalable networks across a facility with rapidly expanding GPU capacity.

You will work closely with our cloud and product engineering teams to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance of mission critical systems. This is a hands-on role with room to help shape the backbone of a next-gen infrastructure company.
What you'll do: n
n
Design, configure, and manage data centre network infrastructure using routers, switches,
and firewalls from a variety of vendors including Arista, FortiNet, Juniper, Nokia, and Palo Alto.
n
Contribute to the design and implementation of secure networks.
n
Contribute to the development of
policies/procedures/protocols
for working in a secure environment.
n
Support the development of high-performance data centre and edge networking architectures for GPUaaS platforms.
n
Build and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 topologies, routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN), and VLAN configurations.
n
Implement and manage secure remote access (VPN), network segmentation, and access control policies.
n
Collaborate with cloud and systems teams to optimise network traffic flows for containerised (Kubernetes-based) environments.
n
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, proactively resolving latency, packet loss, and configuration issues.
n
Maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and change management records.
n
Participate in network-related incident response and root cause analysis.
n
Contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts where applicable for networking automation and repeatability.
n
Stay up to date with evolving network technologies, security best practices, and open networking solutions
n
What you'll bring: n
n
Around 7+ years of experience in high performance enterprise or datacentre networking roles,
with experience in hardware, design and configuration from day 0 ,1 ,2+ operations
n
You're an Australian citizen with willingness to obtain security clearances where required.
n
Expertise in complex secure networking environments, with adherence to compliance of government network security, routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS), and subnetting
n
Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools and SDN (Software-Defined Networking) concepts
n
Experience in Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet Firewalls and Nokia routing platforms.
n
Experience installing and managing physical assets in datacentres, including equipment in racks and associated cabling work.
n
Experience in monitoring, DR planning, recovery operations of the network.
n
Solid grounding in network security, segmentation, and zero-trust networking models
n
Knowledge of Linux networking, hybrid cloud environments, and container networking (e.g., CNI plugins in Kubernetes) is a strong advantage.
n
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent documentation habits.
n
Cisco certification (e.g. CCNP or CCIE) and/or Nvidia Cumulus experience is highly regarded
n
