initial commissioning team

state‐of‐the‐art commercial kitchen

The role is offered on a permanent part‐time basis, with a planned start date in early to mid‐November ****.

About the Role n
We are seeking an exceptional, passionate and motivated Chef to deliver high-quality culinary experiences and lead our kitchen team at
South Bunbury Community Aged Care
.
n You will be instrumental in helping establish workflows, standards and food service excellence as part of the commissioning phase.
n
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team—including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Carers, General Practitioners, Allied Health professionals, residents and families—to deliver restaurant‐quality dining experiences tailored to the needs of older adults.
About You n
You are a qualified Chef with experience spanning fine dining through to dynamic aged care environments, bringing creativity,
strong leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
n
You will be valued for your ability to:

Lead and mentor a food services team

Develop creative menu plans
n
Manage budgets and costings effectively
n
Build strong relationships with industry suppliers
n
Develop and implement high‐quality food safety and compliance processes
n
Support residents with varied dietary needs, including textured and modified diets
n
Bring a positive, solutions‐focused attitude to a commissioning environment
n
To Be Considered, You Will Bring n
n
Current trade qualifications and Food Safety Supervisor qualification (HLTSS*****), issued within the last five years
(Essential)
n
A current Police Check (within 12 months)
(Essential)
n
Strong knowledge of catering principles and food service operations
n
Demonstrated experience leading and managing a catering team
n
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
n
Commitment to OH&S; and continuous improvement
n
Experience developing menus within set budgets
n
Ability to manage clinically required diets
n
A positive can‐do attitude
n
