Smarter Bathrooms and Kitchens – Port Melbourne VIC Four -Six Month Contract – Immediate Start Port Melbourne n
At Smarter Bathrooms+ we are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a 4-6 month fixed-term contract to support our finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, and reconciliation functions. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who is detail‐oriented, comfortable managing supplier relationships, and confident handling both financial administration and general office/reception duties.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Perform bank reconciliations for the overdraft account and credit card account
n
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
n
Accounts Payable n
n
Process supplier invoices and overheads invoices
n
Reconcile supplier statements against processed invoices and follow up on discrepancies
n
Follow up with suppliers regarding invoice disputes or price discrepancies, liaising with internal teams as needed
n
Process credit card payments
n
General & Administrative n
n
Answer incoming phone calls and direct enquiries appropriately
n
Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required
n
Skills & Experience n
n
Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts payable role
n
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
n
Confident communicator, comfortable resolving invoice disputes with suppliers
n
Proficiency in accounting/ERP software (e.g. NetSuite or similar) and Excel
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
n
You will need proven experience in a busy bookkeeping role, strong communication skills and a qualified phone manner and customer service skills are essential, as well as formal qualifications to support your work experience. This is a full-time on-site position.
