Job Description
Temporary Full Time (up to October ****) - QLGIA (Stream A) Level 4 Reports to – Supervisor Payroll The Role n
Livingstone Shire Council is seeking an experienced payroll professional who combines strong technical payroll knowledge with exceptional attention to detail and a customer-focused approach. You'll have experience delivering end-to-end payroll services, interpreting Awards, Certified Agreements and legislation, and providing accurate advice to employees and leaders.

What You Will Be Doing: n
You'll be confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Office, enjoy solving problems, and have a continuous improvement mindset that helps drive efficiency and service excellence.
n
Deliver end-to-end payroll processing, including employee onboarding, timesheets, leave transactions, payroll
adjustments,terminationsand
payroll payments.
n
Provideexpert advice and support to employees and leaders on payroll matters, including the interpretation of Awards, Certified Agreements and Council policies.
n
Maintain payroll records and systems, ensuring data accuracy,
integrity,confidentialityand
compliance with legislative requirements.
n
Prepare andanalysepayroll reports to support
compliance,auditsand
organisational decision-making.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payroll processes,
systems,efficiencyandthe
employeeexperience.
What You will bring: n
You will be a proactive and collaborative team player who can manage competing priorities, maintain strict confidentiality and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
n
Demonstrated experience delivering accurate end-to-end payroll services in a complex and fast-paced environment.
n
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards and Certified Agreements, with the ability to interpret and apply them confidently.
n
Exceptional attention to detail, numeracy skills and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
n
Well-developed communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
n
A collaborative and solutions-focused approach, coupled with a commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and continuous improvement.
n
QLGIA (Stream A) Level 4 - $90,398 p/a
