JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description n
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to provide safe, respectful, and individualised care to our residents. You will play a vital role in supporting residents' daily living needs while promoting dignity, choice, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance and mealtime support
n
Support residents' physical, emotional, social and cultural needs in line with care plans
n
Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, privacy and independence for residents
n
Accurately complete documentation, charts and care records in a timely manner
n
Work collaboratively with nurses, care staff, allied health professionals and other team members
n
Comply with organisational policies, aged care quality standards, WHS requirements and code of conduct
n

About the Candidate n
You are a caring and reliable team player with a genuine commitment to supporting older people. You demonstrate empathy, professionalism and solid communication skills.

Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete
n
Ability to work under direction and within scope of practice
n
Good verbal and written communication skills
n
Understanding of resident rights, dignity and person-centred care
n
Commitment to workplace health and safety and quality improvement
n
Availability to work across a rotating roster (AM, PM, nights and weekends as required)
n
Previous experience in residential aged care
n
Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
n
Building skills and capacity in the aged care sector n
