The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Intermediate Accountant to join our Melbourne team, working across a diverse client base.
n

Ideally, you will have:
n
n
2-4 years Australian public practice experience in a qualified services firm.
n
CA/CPA qualification, completed or half way through.
n
Strong technical skills and initiative.
n
Ability to take job
ownership/accountability.
n
Exceptional attention to detail.
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
Strong IT skills (MYOB AE and other MYOB accounting packages, XERO, Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Active Workpapers).
n
Ability to work under pressure in a close team environment.
n
n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
Effectively processing client documentation, preparing journals and work papers to produce financial reports in accordance with accounting standards.
n
Reviewing ATO correspondence to ensure accuracy of information and communication of any urgent matters for clients attention.
n
Liaising with ATO on behalf of clients to attend to clients' requirements for e.g. lodgement extension, payment arrangements etc.
n
Responding to client enquiries in relation to engagement management
n
Research on tax and other compliance matters as directed.
n
Attending relevant training courses and events.
n
