What You Can Expect With This Role As a Meter Reader, your day will be active and wide-ranging. You'll be: n
n
Conducting meter readings and testing taps
n
Assisting with meter maintenance and identifying water-related issues
n
Reporting access problems and non-compliant water services
n
Reviewing meter reports and supporting customer enquiries
n
n
This role involves plenty of walking, often between 10km-15km a day, so being physically fit is essential. You'll be working independently, often outdoors in all weather conditions, and safety will always be your top priority.
Your Skills And Experience n
n
You can start each day between 6am and 9am in the summer (Times change due to the seasons and departmental needs)
n
You hold a WA Class C Driver's Licence
n
You're physically fit and able to walk over 10km a day
n
You're comfortable working independently
n
You always put safety first
n
You have exceptional communication skills
n
n
