is looking for an experienced
Carpenter / Leading Hand
to join our growing outdoor construction team across Moreton Bay and North Brisbane.
n
We're looking for someone who is confident on the tools, can take ownership onsite and is capable of leading a small crew while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
4-Day Working Week n
Monday to Thursday – every Friday off.
n
We're building our permanent team around a genuine four-day working week, with strong remuneration and opportunities to progress as the business continues to grow.
The Role n
This is a hands-on Leading Hand position.
n
You'll be responsible for helping lead the day-to-day works onsite while working productively alongside the crew.
n
The role will involve:
n

Leading a small onsite crew
n
n
Organising day-to-day site activities
n
n
Working productively on the tools
n
n
Reading plans, measurements and levels
n
n
Setting out works
n
n
Keeping jobs moving efficiently
n
n
Coordinating materials and equipment onsite
n
n
Maintaining quality and workmanship standards
n
n
Identifying and communicating issues early
n
n
Helping develop apprentices and less experienced team members
n
n
Taking ownership of the finished product
n
The Work n
Our work is heavily focused on
retaining wall construction and replacement
, along with a variety of outdoor construction projects including:
n

n
Concrete sleeper retaining walls
n
n
Timber retaining walls
n
n
Removal and replacement of existing retaining walls
n
n
Excavation, post holes and site preparation
n
n
Drainage and backfilling
n
n
Timber, Colorbond and aluminium fencing
n
n
Decks
n
n
Pergolas and patios
n
n
Sheds, carports and garages
n
n
Residential carpentry
n
n
General outdoor construction
n

Projects are predominantly throughout
Moreton Bay and North Brisbane
.
Who We're Looking For n
Ideally, you'll be a
qualified carpenter
with broad construction experience and the confidence to take the lead onsite.
n
Experience across retaining walls, fencing, landscaping, carpentry, concreting, excavation or general residential construction will be highly regarded.
n
You should be:

Confident and productive on the tools
n
n
Capable of leading a small crew
n
n
Able to work from plans, measurements and levels
n
n
Able to think ahead and organise the day's work
n
n
Reliable and accountable
n
n
Comfortable making day-to-day onsite decisions
n
n
A good communicator
n
n
Someone who takes pride in the finished product
n
n
Experience operating an
excavator, skid steer or other earthmoving equipment
would be highly regarded.
Requirements n

Carpentry qualification preferred
n
n
Strong construction experience
n
n
White Card
n
n
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
n
Own basic hand tools
n
n
Solid work ethic and reliability
n
n
Ability to work outdoors and undertake physical work
n
